Su Gologone wellspring
The Su Gologone spring is located in a karstic area, full of cavities formed by rivers that penetrate the subterranean limestone rocks and dissolve them (like the nearby Grotta di Ispinigoli). A favourite destination for cave divers from all over the world, it has been explored as deep as 135 metres. Originating from the Cedrino torrent, it has a very strong current that provides fresh, pure water. Next to the spring is a lake of beautiful colours, set between the walls carved by the stream.
Located in the municipality of Oliena, near Nuoro, it is ideal for those who love nature and walking. Entrance to the spring park costs only 2€ and comprises access to services such as toilets and free parking. There is also a bar where you can eat.
