Nostra Signora di Fatima Church

The church of Our Lady of Fatima is striking for how little it is known on the island and in Italy, and for its appearance. In fact, it was built only in the 1950s in Valledoria, near Sassari in northern Sardinia. Today the church has become much more visitable because priority was given to pedestrians near its entrance.

Speaking of the appearance, the style of the exterior covered in trachyte, a lava rock, of alternating colors appearing like a mosaic is striking. Inside around the altar, there is a statue of the Virgin Mary donated by Pope Pius XII. Above this is a fresco that amazes with its bright colors, rare to see in the usual old churches.
