Domu De Janas La Rocca

Between Perfugas and Castelsardo in northern Sardinia lies the incredible Domus de Janas of Sedini. Since 3,000 BC, it has been used by humans for various purposes and is now a museum. Inside there is evidence of the last few centuries when it was used as a prison, a shop, a stable and a home for some unsuspecting inhabitants of its incredible history.

In the Nuragic period it served as a necropolis: men found a rock with natural cavities and skilfully carved six rooms out of it. Today, the village of Sedini and the so-called 'house in the rock' coexist in a wonderful example of human and historical harmony.
